This Arkansas quartz crystal point is a Double Terminated Twin/Soulmate. They are crossed (like fingers) and I like to call these “hugging twins”. One of the crystals is slightly smaller than the other but I still get twin/soulmate energy from it. There is Iron Oxide trapped in the crevasses. Crystals with the mineral and rust still on (and clay in some cases) tell us to "remember where you come from". It speaks to many levels and layers. Where we come from physically, what we've been through, both emotionally and physically, where we come from in our past (this life) and where we come from ultimately (Spirit) etc. These crystals give us pause to reflect on our past and contemplate the residue of the experiences we have accumulated. It is just very slightly Smoky. Barnacles bring old soul energy and Bridges bring connection and perspective. It is dense with Fairy Frost and has a few Imprints on the sides. This Twin/Soulmate crystal has energy which flows in both directions (give and take). Brings old soul energy, connection and perspective and says “remember where you come from”.

DOUBLE TERMINATED - Double Terminated crystals have a termination on both ends. These crystals grow from a ‘seed’ molecule of silicon dioxide in clay and grow outward in both directions. They are not formed on a matrix. The energy in these crystals flows in both directions as well. Even though they have two terminations, oftentimes there is usually one end that feels like the ‘top’ and one that feels like the ‘bottom’. Double Terminated points promote psychic ability and dream recall (because they send as well as receive) and are also used for balance. They are useful in any application in which you want the energy to flow in both directions. Because the energy flows in both directions, I like using them in healing layouts or grids.

TWIN or SOULMATE - The crystal names Twin and Soulmate can be used interchangeably and are defined as "two crystals of a similar size grown side-by-side". These crystals promote loving contact and togetherness. Soulmate or Twin crystals may assist in the search for a mate but we are ultimately responsible for the outcome. If you are already in relationship, a Twin or Soulmate can help strengthen togetherness and bonding in your current relationship. These descriptions aren't only referring to intimate partnerships or relationships. It applies to any bonded pair.

IRON OXIDE - golden-yellow mineral coating occurring on lots of crystals, usually taken off with an acid bath. Sometimes has rainbow iridescence on the outer layer (like rainbows you see on oil slicks). This is referred to as “Natural Rainbow Aura”. These crystals have an Earthy and grounding energy and remind us what crystals look like in their natural state (before an acid bath).  Sometimes it is trapped in fissures and fractures and doesn't (can't) come off, even with the bath.

SMOKY - Smoky crystal is a good crystal for grounding. It is also elevating to your mood because it picks up and grounds your negativity. (If you use it for this purpose, be sure to cleanse your Smoky quartz frequently). Crystals become smoky when exposed to radiation and may be natural or irradiated by man. Typically, natural Smoky crystals are usually a lighter grey/brown than crystals which have been artificially irradiated (which are usually almost black). That being said, the only way to know for certain whether a point is naturally or artificially radiated is to ask the person where the point originated.

BRIDGE - A Bridge is a smaller crystal (or crystals) penetrating and located partially in and partially out of a larger crystal. They help to bridge between worlds (the inner and outer worlds between your inner and outer Selves or between yourself and others) and are helpful in any area you might imagine needing a bridge. They can help you heal and get in touch with your inner child (bridging the gap between your outer self and your inner self) and are also good for connection and perspective. Just like a physical bridge, they can rise you above the muck (or a difficult crossing), while providing a birds-eye view of a situation. While providing connection, they also help provide boundaries.

FAIRY FROST - Fairy Frost is technically fractures and inclusions of air within the crystal. The trapped air is wispy, white and fairy-looking. Lots of crystals have Fairy Frost, some are more fairy-like than others. Crystals with Fairy Frost are able to connect you with Nature Spirits and Fairies (Deva). They encourage us to connect with nature and to care for Mother Earth.

IMPRINT - Imprints are indentations or marks left on the sides or faces of a crystal where they grew in close proximity to another crystal. Crystals with Imprints represent how we are affected by outside influences (usually other people). The original structure adapts to its environment as outside influences (associations with people) change its shape or form. This allows for growth and change, while still maintaining the crystal’s basic inherent truth and beauty. An Imprint is a type of Key, so the characteristics of Key crystals applies as well.
