This is an interesting Arkansas quartz crystal point. It is between a Sheet crystal and a Tabby. I am trending towards Tabby by the feel. It has several Keys and Lineated Faces, a couple of Trigonic Record Keepers and Fairy Frost. This crystal has a nice feel, both energetically and physically. Smooth, welcoming.
TABBY or TABULAR - Tabular or Tabby crystals are thin, flat crystals. To “qualify” as a Tabby, they should be no more than half as thin as they are wide. For example, if a crystal is one inch wide it needs to be one-half inch thick (or less) in order to be called a Tabby. If it is two inches wide it needs to be one inch thick (or less), etc. The picture is of a layered tabby crystal. Tabby crystals are good helpers with communication. I remember this because they are shaped like a tablet.
SHEET - A Sheet crystal is a very thin, flat piece of crystal, thinner than a Tabby and often self-healed. Usually, Sheet crystals don’t have six sides to them, and they aren’t always self-healed on all sides. Often, the widest sides are either lineated or self-healed. If there is an area that isn’t self-healed, it will be on the thin edge. If at least one of the flat sides is not either a side or self-healed, it doesn’t qualify as a Sheet crystal. Sheet crystal is good for scrying and it has an expansive energy. They also often have a ringing bell-like sound when touched together.
KEY - A Key on a crystal point is an indentation left by the terminating end of another crystal (the tip or “point”). Technically a key is more like a key hole. It is a three or six- sided indentation in the side or face of a point. Key crystals are good to help you unlock answers to questions you may have. They help you to access anything which you previously were blocked from accessing before you found the key.
LINEATED FACE - Lineated Face crystals are crystals with surface markings viewed in the same way you find Record Keepers. Lineated face crystals may have markings which start as a small triangle that is outlined continually, oftentimes the pattern runs off the face of the crystal, sometimes it doesn’t. To picture this, just imagine the lines in a Zen garden. The innermost triangle may or may not be centrally located. Lineated Face crystals may be accessed during meditation in the same way that you might use a labyrinth. To work with Lineated Face crystals, follow the lines in and down to a meditative state and when you are finished, work your way back out from the center.
TRIGONIC RECORD KEEPER - A Trigonic Record Keeper is an upside-down Record Keeper that you can easily feel and see. They are like tiny Keys, actually, except that they are shaped like a Record Keeper (triangle) and the flat “bottom” of the triangle is at the top, the point is facing down. These may be present on the faces or sides of a crystal. They are rare. Trigonic Record Keepers are crystals of transition. They are good for soul retrieval and can work as a key to the future. They have an interesting and unique energy. I think they feel like a traditional Record Keeper on steroids. The energy of a traditional Record Keepers is one of a quiet exciting knowledge or information held within the crystal itself. Trigonic Record Keepers feel more like a doorway to endless information. Accessing the knowledge of a Trigonic Record Keeper would be comparable to walking into a library, whereas that of a traditional Record Keeper would be like opening a book.
FAIRY FROST - Fairy Frost crystals have fractures and inclusions of air within them. The trapped air is wispy, white and fairy-looking. Crystals with Fairy Frost are sometimes called Devic crystals. Devic Temple crystals have a combination of Mirror Fractures, Rainbows and Fairy Frost. Lots of crystals have Fairy Frost. Some are more fairy-like than others. Crystals with Fairy Frost are able to connect you with nature spirits and fairies (deva). They encourage us to connect with nature and to care for Mother Earth.
