This is an Elestiated (Etched and/or layered) partial Arkansas quartz crystal point. It is water clear (Masculine) and has Lineated Sides. There are a few small Rainbows. It has natural rainbow aura on some mineral attached from the mine.
ELESTIAL - Elestial crystals have natural terminations over the body and face of an etched and/or layered crystal. What does that mean? They really aren’t in the shape of a point. They are layered all over with self-healed looking surfaces. Sometimes points are what I call “elestiated.” To me that means it is a point that isn’t quite all point, and isn’t quite all Elestial, but sort of a combination of the two. Elestial crystals have a soft, loving energy. They usually feel angelic to me. I use them when I want to connect to an angelic energy all around me. Their energy is less focused, more amorphous (having no definite form, without shape).
ETCHED - Etched crystals have abrasions on the outer areas of the crystal that look like hieroglyphics or writing of some sort. I’ve seen them called Lightning Strike Quartz, as well. To me, Etched crystals (or the etching on crystals) is symbolic in that it looks like writing. (For example, in the case of Lightning Strike, it looks like a lightning bolt zigzagging across.) I feel that the best way to use these crystals depends on the particular shape the etching takes (refer to Sigil crystals).
LINEATED SIDES - Lineated Sides are horizontal striations across the sides of a point. Lineated Sides can be used like a zipper to access further knowledge within the crystal. If you have worked with your crystal for a while and feel ready for more information or feel a desire to go deeper, you can unzip the crystal to receive the next layer of information. I experience this as receiving a deeper knowing or understanding that seems to be released quietly after they are unzipped. If you drag your thumbnail down the side of a point with deep striations, you are “unzipping” the crystal. To zip it back up, drag your thumb from the base back to the tip. This is like hanging up the phone after a conversation. It lets the crystal know you are “done for now” and you can pick up where you left off later. I used to think that unzipping would be like opening a box and looking inside, revealing a few more items, and once you see them, that is all. It isn’t quite like this though. It is more like opening the box, looking down inside and seeing that the bottom of the box opens to infinite space. There is no end to the amount of “extra” you can receive as you work with and unzip your crystal. It is literally like peeling an onion that has infinite layers. Just remember when you finish with your session to thank the crystal for its help, and zip back up until next time.
MASCULINE - Very clear points are described as Masculine. They may be optically clear, or they may have some Fairy Frost. The base of a Masculine crystal may be dense with frost, however if more of the point is clear than cloudy, it is described as Masculine. Remember not to have pre-conceived notions. Just because a point is masculine by description doesn’t automatically mean it can only present masculine energy (the same is also true for Feminine crystals). Masculine crystals are helpful when you need to get to the point; they have a sharp and direct energy. Yang in nature, Masculine crystals are more action-oriented and the energy projects rather than recedes.
RAINBOWS - Rainbows are present inside a crystal due to fractures. It is helpful to have very bright light, and you may have to turn the crystal (side-to-side, upside down, etc.) in order to see them. Rainbow crystals are optimistic and happy. They remind us that we are loved and they remind us to look for the gifts our traumas bring us.
