This is a beautiful Tabby (Tabular) Arkansas quartz crystal point, water clear with Fairy Frost, Rainbows and Mirror Fractures (Devic Temple). There is still clay in the crevasses on the back from the mine. Crystals like this with rust and clay still attached remind us to “remember where we come from”. It will stand on a mostly flat base. There are Sigils in Etching on the backside, the meaning will depend on whether the Sigils speak to you or not. I get a stirring with this crystal when I look inside, like I am looking into another world.
TABBY or TABULAR - Tabular or Tabby crystals are thin, flat crystals. To “qualify” as a Tabby, they should be no more than half as thin as they are wide. For example, if a crystal is one inch wide it needs to be one-half inch thick (or less) in order to be called a Tabby. If it is two inches wide it needs to be one inch thick (or less), etc. The picture is of a layered tabby crystal. Tabby crystals are good helpers with communication. I remember this because they are shaped like a tablet.
DEVIC TEMPLE - Crystals which have Fairy Frost, Mirror Fractures and Rainbows inside are called (by some) Devic Temples. They are considered Master Crystals. Other sources have described them as having special places for Light Beings to reside. I feel all crystals have this ability/inclination so I tend to shy away from this term because I feel like it is a little bit misleading (implying that only these crystals have this ability). I include it here because it is a popular search term.
FAIRY FROST - Fairy Frost crystals have fractures and inclusions of air within them. The trapped air is wispy, white and fairy-looking. Crystals with Fairy Frost are sometimes called Devic crystals. Devic Temple crystals have a combination of Mirror Fractures, Rainbows and Fairy Frost. Lots of crystals have Fairy Frost. Some are more fairy-like than others. Crystals with Fairy Frost are able to connect you with nature spirits and fairies (deva). They encourage us to connect with nature and to care for Mother Earth.
MIRROR FRACTURES - Mirror Fractures are shiny mirror-looking areas within the crystal, caused by damage (shocks (sudden temperature changes), traumas (hits, shaking, shearing Earth movement). Mirror Fractures serve as areas on which to reflect on our traumas and show that our traumas and challenges bring us added beauty and interest.
RAINBOWS - Rainbows are present inside a crystal due to fractures. It is helpful to have very bright light, and you may have to turn the crystal (side-to-side, upside down, etc.) in order to see them. Rainbow crystals are optimistic and happy. They remind us that we are loved and they remind us to look for the gifts our traumas bring us.
ETCHED - Etched crystals have abrasions on the outer areas of the crystal that look like hieroglyphics or writing of some sort. I’ve seen them called Lightning Strike Quartz, as well. To me, Etched crystals (or the etching on crystals) is symbolic in that it looks like writing. (For example, in the case of Lightning Strike, it looks like a lightning bolt zigzagging across.) I feel that the best way to use these crystals depends on the particular shape the etching takes (refer to Sacred Sigil crystals). You frequently find etching on Gas Phantoms.
SIGILS - Sigils are any markings that represent an idea. For example, a dollar sign is a sigil that represents money and abundance. Crystals may have markings that resemble things such as snake skin, mountain ranges, water or even cities. Sigils are surface features; you view them the same way you view a Record Keeper. Because a Sacred Sigil is a marking that reminds us of an idea or invokes a memory or feeling, the meaning will depend on what the sigil represents to you.
