This very water clear (Masculine) Arkansas quartz crystal point has some dark black, spotty Inclusions in the tip. It has a few large, shallow Keys, layered faint Record Keeper markings and Mirror Fractures.
MASCULINE - Very clear points are described as Masculine. They may be optically clear, or they may have some Fairy Frost. The base of a Masculine crystal may be dense with frost, however if more of the point is clear than cloudy, it is described as Masculine. Remember not to have pre-conceived notions. Just because a point is masculine by description doesn’t automatically mean it can only present masculine energy (the same is also true for Feminine crystals). Masculine crystals are helpful when you need to get to the point; they have a sharp and direct energy. Yang in nature, Masculine crystals are more action-oriented and the energy projects rather than recedes.
INCLUDED - Included crystals occur when crystal is forming, and there may be other substances present in the solution. These substances might be air bubbles or other minerals. They become trapped (or Included) within the crystal point during its growth and are called Inclusions or Included crystals. Air and moisture inclusions fall into the category of Fairy Frost, a non-mineral inclusion. The properties of Included crystals will vary, depending on the mineral included within the crystal. The properties of the included mineral will be enhanced and amplified by being trapped within the structure of quartz.
KEY - A Key on a crystal point is an indentation left by the terminating end of another crystal (the tip or “point”). Technically a key is more like a key hole. It is a three or six- sided indentation in the side or face of a point. Key crystals are good to help you unlock answers to questions you may have. They help you to access anything which you previously were blocked from accessing before you found the key.
RECORD KEEPER - Record Keepers (also called Recorders) are crystals that have triangular markings on the faces. They seem to be three-dimensional, but they usually can’t be felt with your finger. You have to hold a crystal at just the right angle in order to see the Record Keeper. Usually they are very sharply edged, equilateral triangles; however, I have seen them with rounded bottoms as well (more arrowhead shaped), which I call non-traditional. There may only be one present on a face, or you may find layers and layers of them. Record Keepers will appear and disappear (I call that “popping”). It is said that a Record Keeper crystal will find its way to the person who needs the information it contains. Record Keepers contain special wisdom. They represent storage devices and the information can be accessed via a portal. I love Record Keepers, they have a special energy.
MIRROR FRACTURES - Mirror Fractures are shiny mirror-looking areas within the crystal, caused by damage (shocks (sudden temperature changes), traumas (hits, shaking, shearing Earth movement). Mirror Fractures serve as areas on which to reflect on our traumas and show that our traumas and challenges bring us added beauty and interest.
