02214 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

Arkansas quartz crystal point, kickstand-type Bridge, Self-Healing, Lineated Sides, Fairy Frost, Imprint.

BRIDGE – A Bridge is a smaller crystal (or crystals) penetrating and located partially in and partially out of a larger crystal. Bridge Crystals help to bridge between worlds. This may be the inner and outer worlds between your inner and outer Selves or between yourself and others in the physical environment in which you now live. They are helpful in any area you might imagine needing a bridge. They can help you heal and get in touch with your inner child (bridging the gap between your outer self and your inner self). They are also good for connection and perspective, bring you up out of the muck, giving you a birds-eye view of a situation. While providing connection, they also help provide boundaries. Also called Inner Child.

SELF HEALED – Self Healed crystals are crystals that have been broken from the matrix and started to re-seal their broken end with new growth. A Self Healed crystal looks like it has scales or triangular layers. Self-healing can be present on the bottom, sides or even tip of a point or cluster. Self Healed points also present as crystals that were broken in half but sort of ‘glued’ back together with new growth. Self-healed crystals are good for healing, as one might imagine. They also have optimistic, persistent energy. A crystal that has first healed its own wounding demonstrates how we are more able to help heal others when we first heal our own wounds. We can take this lesson to heart in our own healing practice.

LINEATED SIDES – Lineated Sides are horizontal striations across the sides of a point. Lineated Sides can be used like a zipper to access further knowledge within the crystal. If you have worked with your crystal for a while and feel ready for more information or feel a desire to go deeper, you can unzip the crystal to receive the next layer of information. I experience this as receiving a deeper knowing or understanding that seems to be released quietly after they are unzipped. If you drag your thumbnail down the side of a point with deep striations, you are ‘unzipping’ the crystal. To zip it back up, drag your thumb from the base back to the tip. This is like hanging up the phone after a conversation. It lets the crystal know you are ‘done for now’ and you can pick up where you left off later. I used to think that unzipping would be like opening a box and looking inside, revealing a few more items, and once you see them, that is all. It isn’t quite like this though. It is more like opening the box, looking down inside and seeing that the bottom of the box opens to infinite space. There is no end to the amount of ‘extra’ you can receive as you work with and unzip your crystal. It is literally like peeling an onion that has infinite layers. Just remember when you finish with your session to thank the crystal for its help, and zip back up until next time.

FAIRY FROST – Fairy Frost is found inside a crystal (not like “frost on a pumpkin”). Fairy Frost is fractures and inclusions of air within the crystal. The trapped air is wispy, white and fairy-looking. Crystals with Fairy Frost are sometimes called Devic crystals. Devic Temple crystals have a combination of Mirror Fractures, Rainbows and Fairy Frost. Lots of crystals have Fairy Frost. Some are more fairy-like than others. Crystals with Fairy Frost are able to connect you with Nature Spirits and Fairies (Deva). They encourage us to connect with nature and to care for Mother Earth.

IMPRINT – Imprints are indentations or marks left on the sides or faces of a crystal where they grew in close proximity to another crystal. Crystals with Imprints represent how we are affected by outside influences (usually other people). The original structure adapts to its environment as outside influences (associations with people) change its shape or form. This allows for growth and change, while still maintaining the crystal’s basic inherent truth and beauty. An Imprint is a type of Key, so the characteristics of Key crystals applies as well.

02207 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

Arkansas quartz crystal point, fractured through the point during the growth process and Self-Healed. Base is Self-Healed, Lineated Faces with Sigils, dense with Fairy Frost, Mirror Fractures and there is a faint Rainbow inside.

LINEATED FACE – Lineated Face crystals are crystals with surface markings viewed in the same way you find Record Keepers. Lineated face crystals may have markings which start as a small triangle that is outlined continually, oftentimes the pattern runs off the face of the crystal, sometimes it doesn’t. To picture this, just imagine the lines in a Zen garden. The innermost triangle may or may not be centrally located. Lineated Face crystals may be accessed during meditation in the same way that you might use a labyrinth. To work with Lineated Face crystals, follow the lines in and down to a meditative state and when you are finished, work your way back out from the center.

SIGILS – Sigils are any markings that represent an idea. For example, a dollar sign is a sigil that represents money and abundance. Crystals may have markings that resemble things such as snake skin, mountain ranges, water or even cities. There are some that look like stacked skyscrapers, and recently I found an online image of sea cliffs in Iceland that are very similar to these sky-scraper-looking Sigils (Reynisfjara beach : South Iceland). Sigils are surface features; you view them the same way you view a Record Keeper. Because a Sigil is a marking that reminds us of an idea or invokes a memory or feeling, the meaning will depend on what the sigil represents to you. When you see Sigils and images, a good thing to do is let your mind’s eye wander through them and see if they take on a life of their own (like a video in your mind’s eye). This is a form of scrying and a way to receive the messages that the crystal is bringing to you through the Sigils.

FAIRY FROST – Fairy Frost crystals have fractures and inclusions of air within them.

MIRROR FRACTURES – Mirror Fractures are shiny mirror-looking areas within the crystal, caused by damage (shocks (sudden temperature changes), traumas (hits, shaking, shearing Earth movement). Mirror Fractures serve as areas on which to reflect on our traumas and show that our traumas and challenges bring us added beauty and interest.

RAINBOWS – Rainbows are present inside a crystal due to fractures. It is helpful to have very bright light, and you may have to turn the crystal (side-to-side, upside down, etc.) in order to see them. Rainbow crystals are optimistic and happy. They remind us that we are loved and they remind us to look for the gifts our traumas bring us. I think Rainbows are like secret hugs from the Crystal People. It is thrilling and warming. Connect to the gift of love these crystals with Rainbows bring.

02172 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

This Arkansas quartz crystal point is slightly Empathic with minor contact dings. It is full of Fairy Frost and Mirror Fractures, has a large Bridge and Self-Healed base.

EMPATHIC – Broken, chipped and otherwise damaged crystals are called Empathic. Empathic crystals bring out compassionate feelings in us. The crystal picks up this empathy and amplifies it. Often the lesson of Empathic crystals is to remember to be compassionate and empathetic to our OWN chips, dings and perceived flaws and to remember we are still beautiful, whole, lovable and worthy.

FAIRY FROST – Fairy Frost is found inside a crystal (not like “frost on a pumpkin”). Fairy Frost is fractures and inclusions of air within the crystal. 02143 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

Empathic Arkansas quartz crystal point with an area Self-Healing on the backside, has a small Side Kick and Mirror Fractures and Fairy Frost.

SIDE KICK – This is a name that I heard many years ago but never found in an actual book as a traditional description. However, the term fits so well, I have used it over the years but never used it as an actual name and definition (never included it in any lists). Visually, a Side Kick is a partial crystal almost melded with the main crystal. Less defined than a Dolphin, a Side Kick doesn\’t really have a whole shape on its own but relies on the main crystal to make up for most of its body. There is enough of a crystal there to warrant giving it a name. Like the traditional definition of a side kick (think Batman and Robin), a crystal Side Kick carries these energies: always being there to support the main crystal energetically, adds a component of assistance to the main crystal, has a \’buddy energy\’ or an energy of always being there for the other. A symbiotic relationship in which the main crystal takes \”top billing\” but where the Side Kick still plays a major role in the energy of the crystal.

02118 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

This Arkansas quartz crystal point has some sharp edges at the base and initially looks broken, but the base is heavily Self-Healed with triangular layers, quite lovely (still needs caution of the sharp edges). It is very slightly Curved, has Fairy Frost, just a couple Barnacles and Lineated Sides.

CURVED – Crystals with a curved shape or have sides that are curved. This happens when the crystal is forming and it is a rare occurrence. Sometimes just the sides are curved; sometimes the whole crystal looks bent. Sometimes they are self-healed into a curved or bent form. They have a gentle, yet powerful energy and help promote a flexible attitude. Think “go with the flow”.

FAIRY FROST – Fairy Frost crystals have fractures and inclusions of air within them.

BARNACLES – Barnacles are smaller crystals that are attached to a larger crystal. Usually, these crystals emit a very Old Soul, ancient feeling. The larger crystal is the ‘Old Soul’ and contains the wisdom and trust that attracts the smaller crystals (babies or new souls). I usually find that these Old Soul crystals with Barnacles are helpful to us in the way that a loving human grandmother/father or great grandmother/father would be (Imagine the Oracle from the Matrix movies). They help us to see things from a wider, deeper, wiser perspective. I think of the description of a crystal with Barnacles not so much as a description of the Barnacles themselves, but of the energy of the crystal that attracts or grows Barnacles.

There is no end to the amount of ‘extra’ you can receive as you work with and unzip your crystal. It is literally like peeling an onion that has infinite layers. 02087 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

Arkansas quartz crystal point, partial. In the beginning stages of self-healing. Etching and Sigils on most of the faces, two small side-kicks (think Batman/Robin) on the side, full of Fairy Frost.

SELF HEALED – Self Healed crystals are crystals that have been broken from the matrix and started to re-seal their broken end with new growth. A Self Healed crystal looks like it has scales or triangular layers. Self-healing can be present on the bottom, sides or even tip of a point or cluster. We can take this lesson to heart in our own healing practice.

ETCHED – Etched crystals have abrasions on the outer areas of the crystal that look like hieroglyphics or writing of some sort. To me, Etched crystals (or the etching on crystals) is symbolic in that it looks like writing or takes other shapes. (For example, in the case of Lightning Strike, it looks like a lightning bolt zigzagging across.) I feel that the best way to use these crystals depends on the particular shape the etching takes (refer to SIGILS).

SIGILS – Sigils are any markings that represent an idea. For example, a dollar sign is a sigil that represents money and abundance. Crystals may have markings that resemble things such as snake skin, mountain ranges, water or even cities. Sigils are surface features; you view them the same way you view a Record Keeper. 02040 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

This is the top off an Arkansas quartz crystal point. It is Self healed, so the damage to the main crystal occurred while still in the earth. It has Lineation on the faces, Fairy Frost and Mirror fractures inside that bring up images of mountain ranges in my mind. This feels like a travelling crystal (one that would help a person travel in meditation).

SELF HEALED – Self Healed crystals are crystals that have been broken from the matrix and started to re-seal their broken end with new growth. A Self Healed crystal looks like it has scales or triangular layers. Self-healing can be present on the bottom, sides or even tip of a point or cluster. 02039 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

This Arkansas quartz crystal point is a Tabby (Tabular), heavily Self Healed on the base, has Lineated Sides with an Empathic Bridge.

TABBY or TABULAR – Tabular or Tabby crystals are thin, flat crystals. To ‘qualify’ as a Tabby, they should be no more than half as thin as they are wide (2 to 1 ratio). For example, if a crystal is one inch wide it needs to be one-half inch thick (or less) in order to be called a Tabby. If it is two inches wide it needs to be one inch thick (or less), etc. Tabby crystals are good helpers with communication. I remember this because they are shaped like a tablet.

This may be the inner and outer worlds between your inner and outer Selves or between yourself and others in the physical environment in which you now live.

01859 CLEARANCE CRYSTAL POINT

This is an Arkansas quartz crystal point that grew in the matrix on its side. The bottom side is rough but Self Healed, it has points Bridged into it and it is Empathic. Dense with Fairy Frost, it is Feminine.

BRIDGE – A Bridge is a smaller crystal (or crystals) penetrating and located partially in and partially out of a larger crystal. Bridge Crystals help to bridge between worlds. It may be the inner and outer worlds between your inner and outer Selves or between yourself and others in the physical environment in which you now live. They are helpful in any area you might imagine needing a bridge. They can help you heal and get in touch with your inner child (bridging the gap between your outer self and your inner self). They are also good for connection and perspective. Also called Inner Child.

FAIRY FROST – Fairy Frost consists of fractures and inclusions of air within the crystal.

FEMININE – Feminine crystals are dense and milky. The concentration of density in a Feminine crystal varies from nearly opaque fairy frost to solid white, milky quartz. Sometimes a crystal with some clarity (which typically is described as masculine) will still emit a feminine energy. Feminine crystals help us (both men and women) to get in touch with our feminine nature. They have a soft, yet deep, mysterious energy. Yin in nature, Feminine crystals are intuitive, nurturing and receptive.
