There is so much to comprehend when one wishes to become a crystal guardian; even with my sizeable collection, I gleaned much knowledge from the reading of this book. Crystal People … what a concept!

I know if you're reading this book you consider yourself a crystal person. The Crystal People I am speaking of, however, are the crystals themselves; sentient beings millennia older than ourselves!

A new energy is arriving. We're moving out of an era of following others' authority and more fully into following self-directed, intuitive guidance.

In this book you will learn how to listen to the crystal in your own way, rather than hearing their voice through someone else's filter. I will teach you what you need to know in order to do this.

You will learn where the crystal comes from, how they are formed and what language they speak.

You will learn how to speak that language and how to connect with your crystal friend.

I know that many of you have read the names of the different quartz configurations, but I suspect that some of you may still be finding it difficult to determine, with absolute certainty, what YOUR crystal is and how to best put it to use for personal and global healing.

Many books list so many different possible uses for each configuration that it is difficult (if not impossible) to remember the strongest ability of each type of crystal.

I have listed several common configurations, providing you with both detailed descriptions, as well as drawings, to further help you identify your crystal friends.

MY INTRODUCTION TO THE CRYSTAL PEOPLE

Grandparents who are rock hounds, well, rock!

I grew up in California and spent my formative years scrambling up hills, running wild in the mountains and combing the beaches.

We looked for square nails and purple bottles at old home sites, hematite and gold in the mountains, and agate on the beaches of the Pacific Northwest.

My grandparents were collectors and if I was lucky I got to tag along.

They used to gather Arkansas crystal and ship it back home to California. I remember growing up looking at crystal clusters sparkling and shining in the California sunshine.

Little did I know that I would become friends with these majestic beings!

How lucky am I? How lucky are you? I'm going to teach you to connect, but, alas, I am getting ahead of myself.

Let me start from the very beginning of my journey.

Besides rocks and collecting, art has been my passion my entire life. I began my path as an adult majoring in the fields of Fine Art and Graphic Design.

After hearing so many people ask me what in the world I was going to do with a Degree in Art, and internalizing all of the negative reasons why this was a bad choice, I abandoned my dream and entered the field of Nursing.

My mother was a nurse, several aunts were nurses. It was the logical step, or so I thought, but logic and happiness don't always go hand in hand.
