Physical description: Broken, chipped and otherwise damaged crystals are called Empathic. Usually they are damaged in the mining process. Even though they may survive the mining process without injury, sometimes they get dropped (for example in our homes) and subsequently are chipped or dinged.

Metaphysical description: Empathic crystals bring out compassionate feelings in us. When we see a chipped or damaged crystal, we tend to show it love. The crystal picks up this empathy and amplifies it. An Empathic crystal will encounter many people during its lifespan and each person that expresses compassion for the damage on the point increases the empathetic energy of the point. It is a cycle that repeats. People who tend not to feel compassion still benefit from Empathic crystals because the crystals emit compassionate energy. Another important aspect of Empathic crystals is compassion and empathy towards self. I find it easy to accept the "flaws" in others but judge the flaws in myself as 'unacceptable'. Empathic crystals help us to honor and love our own "chips and dings" and to remember that we are still whole and beautiful and worthy of love and acceptance.

*The size of these crystals will vary. I will send the most representative example of the type of configuration ordered, so if a crystal is small, but an excellent example of the particular configuration, I will send that crystal. If it is particularly small, I may send two in one bag (say 1/2 inch or so)… I aim for a size range from 1 to 2 inches long, 1/2 to 3/4 inch diameter.

Your Empathic crystal will come with a business-card-sized printed description of the characteristics and special qualities of the crystal within. Crystal sizes may vary greatly in size as I am selecting for the shape, not the size.
