DESCRIPTION:
This Arkansas quartz crystal point is what I call a hugging Dolphin (the dolphin “baby” is stuck very close to the “mother”). It has Barnacles, Imprints, Dense with Fairy Frost with lots of Mirror Fractures and some Rainbows if you look for them. Lineated Sides. Protective, loving energy.
DOLPHIN - Dolphin crystals are crystals which have a smaller crystal attached to (riding along) the side, not quite big enough to be a Twin or Soulmate, but aligned similarly. They are sometimes called a baby. If you picture a dolphin with a baby swimming very near it, this is what the Dolphin crystal looks like (a larger crystal with a smaller crystal riding alongside). Metaphysically, Dolphin crystals have a fun, playful energetic energy (that of the baby) and they also have a nurturing, protective energy (that of the mother or adult). Imagine the energy to lovingly guide, teach and protect our young. This is the energy of a Dolphin Crystal. BARNACLES - Barnacles are smaller crystals that are attached to a larger crystal. Usually, these crystals emit a very Old Soul, ancient feeling. The larger crystal is the ‘Old Soul’ and contains the wisdom and trust that attracts the smaller crystals (babies or new souls). I usually find that these Old Soul crystals with Barnacles are helpful to us in the way that a loving human grandmother/father or great grandmother/father would be (Imagine the Oracle from the Matrix movies). They help us to see things from a wider, deeper, wiser perspective. I think of the description of a crystal with Barnacles not so much as a description of the Barnacles themselves, but of the energy of the crystal that attracts or grows Barnacles. IMPRINT - Imprints are indentations or marks left on the sides or faces of a crystal where they grew in close proximity to another crystal. Crystals with Imprints represent how we are affected by outside influences (usually other people). The original structure adapts to its environment as outside influences (associations with people) change its shape or form. This allows for growth and change, while still maintaining the crystal’s basic inherent truth and beauty. An Imprint is a type of Key, so the characteristics of Key crystals applies as well. FAIRY FROST - Fairy Frost crystals have fractures and inclusions of air within them. The trapped air is wispy, white and fairy-looking. Crystals with Fairy Frost are sometimes called Devic crystals. Devic Temple crystals have a combination of Mirror Fractures, Rainbows and Fairy Frost. Lots of crystals have Fairy Frost. Some are more fairy-like than others. Crystals with Fairy Frost are able to connect you with Nature Spirits and Fairies (Deva). They encourage us to connect with nature and to care for Mother Earth. MIRROR FRACTURES - Mirror Fractures are shiny mirror-looking areas within the crystal, caused by damage (shocks (sudden temperature changes), traumas (hits, shaking, shearing Earth movement). Mirror Fractures serve as areas on which to reflect on our traumas and show that our traumas and challenges bring us added beauty and interest. RAINBOWS - Rainbows are present inside a crystal due to fractures. It is helpful to have very bright light, and you may have to turn the crystal (side-to-side, upside down, etc.) in order to see them. Rainbow crystals are optimistic and happy. They remind us that we are loved and they remind us to look for the gifts our traumas bring us. I think Rainbows are like secret hugs from the Crystal People. It is thrilling and warming. LINEATED SIDES - Lineated Sides are horizontal striations across the sides of a point, to be used like a zipper to access further knowledge within the crystal. When you have worked with your crystal and feel ready for more information (desire to go deeper), unzip the crystal to receive the next layer of information. Drag your thumbnail down the side of a point to ‘unzip’ and to zip it back up, drag your thumb from the base back to the tip. Unzipping is like opening a box, looking down inside and seeing that the bottom of the box opens to infinite space. There is no end to the amount of ‘extra’ you can receive as you work with and unzip your crystal. Rezipping is like hanging up the phone. It lets the crystal know you are ‘done for now’ and you can pick up where you left off later. Remember after your session to thank the crystal for its help, and zip back up until next time.
