This Arkansas quartz crystal point is water clear (Masculine) with Fairy Frost in the base and Mirror Fractures. There is a Manifestation point in the termination (I have marked it with a sticker – I didn’t see it when I photographed). There are Imprints and Keys and lots of Barnacles. Need help in manifesting? MASCULINE - Very clear points are described as Masculine. They are helpful when you need to get to the point. The energy they have is sharp and direct. Yang in nature, Masculine crystals are action-oriented and the energy projects rather than recedes. The term Masculine is referring to the physical characteristic of a crystal being very clear and typically refers to the energetic qualities (masculine, referring to energy, not masculine, referring to gender.) Just like with humans, however, many Masculine crystals do have masculine energy (referring to gender), but some have feminine energy. FAIRY FROST - Fairy Frost crystals have fractures and inclusions of air within them. The trapped air is wispy, white and fairy-looking. Crystals with Fairy Frost are sometimes called Devic crystals. MIRROR FRACTURES - Mirror Fractures are shiny mirror-looking areas within the crystal, caused by damage (shocks (sudden temperature changes), traumas (hits, shaking, shearing Earth movement). Mirror Fractures serve as areas on which to reflect on our traumas and show that our traumas and challenges bring us added beauty and interest. MANIFESTATION - Manifestation points (which I have sometimes seen called “baby within”) are small crystal points that have formed and are engulfed entirely within a larger point; these are quite rare. They have a special energy to them that is difficult to describe. It is almost like a pregnancy, or a feeling of expectation inside. There is fullness in the energy a Manifestation point exudes. The Manifestation point refers to both the point within the main crystal as well as the main crystal itself. I can usually feel a Manifestation point by its special energy before I actually see it within the main crystal. Manifestation points are powerful for manifesting, which should come as no surprise. IMPRINT - Imprints are indentations or marks left on the sides or faces of a crystal where they grew in close proximity to another crystal. Crystals with Imprints represent how we are affected by outside influences (usually other people). The original structure adapts to its environment as outside influences (associations with people) change its shape or form. This allows for growth and change, while still maintaining the crystal’s basic inherent truth and beauty. An Imprint is a type of Key, so the characteristics of Key crystals applies as well. KEY - Keys are indentations left by another crystal. Key crystals help you unlock answers to questions you may have. They help you to access anything which you previously were blocked from accessing before you found the key. Is there an area which you could use help in accessing an answer which has previously been blocked to you? The energy of a Key crystal can help you to find an easier, more direct way in. Imagine this as easily opening the lock on the front door and walking right in (rather than having to check all the windows for one that is unlocked, climbing through, scraping your elbows and knocking your head). Ease of access is what Key crystal energy brings us. I like to put my finger in the Key as I work with the crystal. BARNACLES - Barnacles are smaller crystals that are attached to a larger crystal. Usually, these crystals emit a very Old Soul, ancient feeling. The larger crystal is the ‘Old Soul’ and contains the wisdom and trust that attracts the smaller crystals (babies or new souls). I usually find that these Old Soul crystals with Barnacles are helpful to us in the way that a loving human grandmother/father or great grandmother/father would be (Imagine the Oracle from the Matrix movies). They help us to see things from a wider, deeper, wiser perspective. I think of the description of a crystal with Barnacles not so much as a description of the Barnacles themselves, but of the energy of the crystal that attracts or grows Barnacles.
