This Arkansas quartz crystal point falls into the category of crazed quartz (crazing). Crazing occurs when a crystal is exposed to extreme temperature changes (a hot crystal in cold water or a cold crystal in hot water, for example). Oftentimes this is done intentionally, to get the 'crazing' effect, other times it might occur when a crystal is being dug up (for example, bringing a crystal from the cold earth, perhaps in winter, and setting it on a hot rock in the sunshine, etc). I don’t know if this one was crazed intentionally or by accident. Either way it is stunning. Technically, the crazing is internal damage (fractures) so the metaphysical lesson matches that of Empathic crystals. The biggest lesson I have been shown by Empathic crystals is the ability to love, honor and ACCEPT the damage that we have suffered either through intentional trauma inflicted on us or unintentional/accidental traumas. The crazing in the crystal certainly shows you that this trauma brings added beauty and interest via Rainbows and Mirror Fractures. This crystal is so full of stunning Mirror Fractures and flashy Rainbows. It is a Channeler, Masculine, Empathic with some outer contact dings, Record Keepers and Lineated Sides, Lineated Faces. The base is Self-Healed, densely Feminine and has some mineral still attached. I REALLY like this crystal. There is so much going on inside that you can barely see any of the outer surface features. So many Rainbows!!
