This Arkansas quartz crystal point is what I call a point/cluster (a main point with a small cluster attached). The ‘cluster’ is Bridges into the main point and it has deep areas of Growth Interference. A small Side-Kick, an Isis Face, it is also Double Terminated with Mirror Fractures and Rainbows inside where the ‘cluster bridges’ are attached, seen through the front of the crystal. Growth Interference crystals have missing areas in the main point where another mineral was growing during the development of the crystal and then subsequently disappeared. Because there used to be a mineral present that isn’t there anymore, they look and feel magical to me. The properties of Growth Interference crystals are a bit like crystal imprints. They represent how we can adapt and grow around a certain situation (or person), and then if the situation no longer serves, it leaves, but not without leaving a mark. I see Imprints as more associated with situations regarding people (crystal on crystal) but because growth interference crystals is caused by non-crystal influences (other minerals), I see Growth Interference as referring more to non-human influences (such as environmental circumstances or health issues, etc.)
