02279_S ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT
This is a Devic Temple Arkansas quartz crystal point that has Lineated Faces and Lineated Sides, Self-Healing and Etching with Sigils. I really like the shape of this crystal and the feel of it in my hand.
DEVIC TEMPLE - Crystals which have Fairy Frost, Mirror Fractures and Rainbows inside are called Devic Temples and are considered Master Crystals. Other sources have described them as "having special places for Light Beings to reside". I feel all crystals have this ability/inclination so like to put this reminder here. The description implies that only Devic Temple crystals have this ability, but in reality, all crystals do. Devic Temples do have a special energy about them and usually have a lot of internal interest!
FAIRY FROST - Fairy Frost crystals have fractures and inclusions of air within them. The trapped air is wispy, white and fairy-looking. Crystals with Fairy Frost are sometimes called Devic crystals. Devic Temple crystals have a combination of Mirror Fractures, Rainbows and Fairy Frost. Lots of crystals have Fairy Frost. Some are more fairy-like than others. Crystals with Fairy Frost are able to connect you with Nature Spirits and Fairies (Deva). They encourage us to connect with nature and to care for Mother Earth.
MIRROR FRACTURES - Mirror Fractures are shiny mirror-looking areas within the crystal, caused by damage (shocks (sudden temperature changes), traumas (hits, shaking, shearing Earth movement). Mirror Fractures serve as areas on which to reflect on our traumas and show that our traumas and challenges bring us added beauty and interest.
RAINBOWS - Rainbows are present inside a crystal due to fractures. It is helpful to have very bright light, and you may have to turn the crystal (side-to-side, upside down, etc.) in order to see them. Rainbow crystals are optimistic and happy. They remind us that we are loved and they remind us to look for the gifts our traumas bring us. I think Rainbows are like secret hugs from the Crystal People. It is thrilling and warming. Connect to the gift of love these crystals with Rainbows bring.
LINEATED FACE - Lineated Face crystals are crystals with surface markings viewed in the same way you find Record Keepers. Lineated face crystals may have markings which start as a small triangle that is outlined continually, oftentimes the pattern runs off the face of the crystal, sometimes it doesn’t. To picture this, just imagine the lines in a Zen garden. The innermost triangle may or may not be centrally located. Lineated Face crystals may be accessed during meditation in the same way that you might use a labyrinth. To work with Lineated Face crystals, follow the lines in and down to a meditative state and when you are finished, work your way back out from the center.
LINEATED SIDES - Lineated Sides are horizontal striations across the sides of a point. Lineated Sides can be used like a zipper to access further knowledge within the crystal. If you have worked with your crystal for a while and feel ready for more information or feel a desire to go deeper, you can unzip the crystal to receive the next layer of information. I experience this as receiving a deeper knowing or understanding that seems to be released quietly after they are unzipped. If you drag your thumbnail down the side of a point with deep striations, you are ‘unzipping’ the crystal. To zip it back up, drag your thumb from the base back to the tip. This is like hanging up the phone after a conversation. It lets the crystal know you are ‘done for now’ and you can pick up where you left off later. I used to think that unzipping would be like opening a box and looking inside, revealing a few more items, and once you see them, that is all. It isn’t quite like this though. It is more like opening the box, looking down inside and seeing that the bottom of the box opens to infinite space. There is no end to the amount of ‘extra’ you can receive as you work with and unzip your crystal. It is literally like peeling an onion that has infinite layers. Just remember when you finish with your session to thank the crystal for its help, and zip back up until next time.
SELF HEALED - Self Healed crystals are crystals that have been broken from the matrix and started to re-seal their broken end with new growth. A Self Healed crystal looks like it has scales or triangular layers. Self-healing can be present on the bottom, sides or even tip of a point or cluster. Self Healed points also present as crystals that were broken in half but sort of ‘glued’ back together with new growth. Self-healed crystals are good for healing, as one might imagine. They also have optimistic, persistent energy. A crystal that has first healed its own wounding demonstrates how we are more able to help heal others when we first heal our own wounds. We can take this lesson to heart in our own healing practice.
ETCHED - Etched crystals have abrasions on the outer areas of the crystal that look like hieroglyphics or writing of some sort. To me, Etched crystals (or the etching on crystals) is symbolic in that it looks like writing or takes other shapes. (For example, in the case of Lightning Strike, it looks like a lightning bolt zigzagging across.) I feel that the best way to use these crystals depends on the particular shape the etching takes (refer to SIGILS).
SIGILS - Sigils are any markings that represent an idea. For example, a dollar sign is a sigil that represents money and abundance. Crystals may have markings that resemble things such as snake skin, mountain ranges, water or even cities. Sigils are surface features; you view them the same way you view a Record Keeper. Because a Sigil is a marking that reminds us of an idea or invokes a memory or feeling, the meaning will depend on what the sigil represents to you. When you see Sigils and images, a good thing to do is let your mind’s eye wander through them and see if they take on a life of their own (like a video in your mind’s eye). This is a form of scrying and a way to receive the messages that the crystal is bringing to you through the Sigils.
