This is a lovely Arkansas quartz crystal cluster with a light coating of iron oxide giving it an orangey color. Aspects of this one do fit the Golden Healer definition because some of the iron oxide is trapped under a layer of clear quartz. It has some areas of natural Rainbow aura (like the iridescent rainbow sheen seen on oil slicks), very beautiful and makes me think of fairy magic. The shape of this crystal is like two double-sided clusters stacked on top of each other, sandwich-fashion. It is covered in tiny quartz points and Drusy. So much to look at with this crystal. Lovely.
IRON OXIDE - golden-yellow mineral coating occurring on lots of crystals, usually taken off with an acid bath. Sometimes has rainbow iridescence on the outer layer (like rainbows you see on oil slicks). This is referred to as “Natural Rainbow Aura”. These crystals have an Earthy and grounding energy and remind us what crystals look like in their natural state (before an acid bath). Sometimes it is trapped in fissures and fractures and doesn't (can't) come off, even with the bath.
MINERAL STILL ATTACHED - Crystals with the mineral and rust still on (and clay in some cases) tell us to "remember where you come from". It speaks to many levels and layers. Where we come from physically, what we've been through, both emotionally and physically, where we come from in our past (this life) and where we come from ultimately (Spirit) etc. These crystals give us pause to reflect on our past and contemplate the residue of the experiences we have accumulated.
GOLDEN HEALER - Golden Healers are quartz crystals that are partially or totally covered with a transparent golden-yellow mineral (iron oxide). Lots of crystals have this iron oxide coating, but what makes Golden Healers special is that the iron oxide is trapped beneath a layer of clear quartz. The coating on a true Golden Healer will not come off with acid washing. Often the lightly coated Golden Healers will have rainbow iridescence on the outer layer (like rainbows you see on oil slicks). This is referred to as “natural rainbow aura”. These points emit an especially high energy. Golden Healer crystals are good for healing and have a soft, bright energy. The lightly coated Golden Healers have an enthusiastic and helpful liveliness in their aura. You don’t even have to pick them up to experience this shift. Golden Healers are one good example of very small points having as much or more potential energy as a very large point, ounce for ounce (much as the strength of an ant versus a human).
DRUSY - Very similar to Barnacles, Drusy consists of very small points described as ‘a myriad of very closely set tiny crystals’. The tiny crystals making up the Drusy look like sugar crystals. I think of Drusy crystals as assisting with ideas or thought forms ready to spring forth and grow.
