03371 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

- Description
- details
This Arkansas quartz crystal point is dense with Fairy Frost with clarity at the top (Yin/Yang). It has a couple of Imprint/Keys. There are two little non-traditional Side-Kicks, one has a flashy Rainbow in it. When Rainbows appear on the surface between two closely connected (fused) crystals, metaphorically, this can represent how a relationship with a closely-attached-other can bring us Rainbows. Often the fusing of the two crystals produces a surface on which Rainbows like to ride. The relationship with the closely-attached-other creates a Rainbow to be explored and honored while the two are connected. There are Lineated Sides. This crystal is calm and quiet. It has a gentle and loving countenance. It suggests working with the Keys for non-judgmental answers to questions you might have without judgment or preconceived reservations.
FAIRY FROST - Fairy Frost consists of fractures and inclusions of air within the crystal (found inside, not like “frost on a pumpkin”). The trapped air is wispy, white and fairy-looking. Lots of crystals have Fairy Frost but some are more fairy-like than others. Crystals with Fairy Frost are able to connect you with Nature Spirits and Fairies (Deva). They encourage us to connect with nature and to care for Mother Earth.
YIN/YANG - Yin/Yang crystals are half feminine and half masculine (referring to energy, not gender). They present as half cloudy and half clear. The base of a Yin/Yang point may be completely milky or just very densely clouded with Fairy Frost (almost white) and the top part may be clear with a little wispy Fairy Frost. Knowing that Yin/Yang crystals have an equal measure of masculine to feminine energy, they are good for attaining and maintaining balance.
KEY - Keys are indentations left by another crystal. Key crystals help you unlock answers to questions you may have. They help you to access anything which you previously were blocked from accessing before you found the key. Is there an area which you could use help in accessing an answer which has previously been blocked to you? The energy of a Key crystal can help you to find an easier, more direct way in. Imagine this as easily opening the lock on the front door and walking right in (rather than having to check all the windows for one that is unlocked, climbing through, scraping your elbows and knocking your head). Ease of access is what Key crystal energy brings us. I like to put my finger in the Key as I work with the crystal. Meditate on the issue for which you need opening while holding the crystal in this way.
IMPRINTS represent how we are affected by outside influences (usually other people). The original structure adapts to its environment as outside influences (associations with people) change its shape or form. This allows for growth and change, while still maintaining the crystal’s basic inherent truth and beauty.
How would you determine a Key versus an Imprint? Both are caused by the presence of another crystal which the main crystal has grown around. A textbook Key typically presents when the termination (or base) of another crystal has penetrated the main crystal, leaving an indentation (like poking your finger straight into the icing on a cake). Sometimes Keys can be partial (say if the 'fingertip' indent was partially lost when the crystal was separated from the matrix). An Imprint usually presents along the sides and occurs like if you laid the side of your finger onto the icing. One is more directly poking into (Key) and the other is more laying side-by-side (Imprint). Because the physical definitions can be kind of arbitrary, I defer to which energy each marking presents with, whether Key or Imprint. Don't get hung up on names, go with energy.
SIDE-KICK - This is a name that I heard many years ago but never found in an actual book as a traditional description. However, the term fits so well, I have used it over the years but never used it as an actual name and definition (never included it in any lists). Visually, a Side-kick is a partial crystal almost melded with the main crystal. Much less-defined than a Dolphin, a Side-kick doesn't really have a whole shape on its own but relies on the main crystal to make up for most of its body. There is enough of a crystal there to warrant giving it a name. Like the traditional definition of a side-kick (think Batman and Robin), a crystal Side-kick carries these energies: always being there to support the main crystal energetically, adds a component of assistance to the main crystal, has a 'buddy energy' or an energy of always being there for the other. A symbiotic relationship in which the main crystal takes "top billing" but where the Side-kick still plays a major role in the energy of the crystal.
RAINBOWS - Rainbows are present inside a crystal due to fractures. It is helpful to have very bright light, and you may have to turn the crystal (side-to-side, upside down, etc.) in order to see them. This is often a metaphor how our challenges bring gifts with them but sometimes you have to look at them from a different perspective to find the gift (it isn’t always obvious). Rainbow crystals are optimistic and happy. They remind us that we are loved and they remind us when things look bleak to look for the gifts our traumas bring. I think Rainbows are like secret hugs from the Crystal People. It is thrilling and warming. Connect to the gift of love these crystals with Rainbows bring.
LINEATED SIDES - Lineated Sides are horizontal striations across the sides of a point, to be used like a zipper to access further knowledge within the crystal. When you have worked with your crystal and feel ready for more information (desire to go deeper), unzip the crystal to receive the next layer of information. Drag your thumbnail down the side of a point to ‘unzip’ and to zip it back up, drag your thumb from the base back to the tip. Unzipping is like opening a box, looking down inside and seeing that the bottom of the box opens to infinite space. There is no end to the amount of ‘extra’ you can receive as you work with and unzip your crystal. Rezipping is like hanging up the phone. It lets the crystal know you are ‘done for now’ and you can pick up where you left off later. Remember after your session to thank the crystal for its help, and zip back up until next time.
