This Arkansas quartz crystal point is dense with Fairy Frost and milky/cloudy at the base (Feminine). There are lots of Mirror Fractures and some Rainbows (reflect on your traumas and find the gifts they brought with them). There is a Tabby Bridge (good for connection and perspective, especially concerning communication). There is a very small Window (Time Link) and deep Imprints on the sides. This crystal suggests gentleness with your wounds, looking for the gifts they brought with them. It offers hope and optimism, beauty and depth of character. I hear: “Love”.
FAIRY FROST - Fairy Frost consists of fractures and inclusions of air within the crystal (found inside, not like “frost on a pumpkin”). The trapped air is wispy, white and fairy-looking. Lots of crystals have Fairy Frost but some are more fairy-like than others. Crystals with Fairy Frost are able to connect you with Nature Spirits and Fairies (Deva). They encourage us to connect with nature and to care for Mother Earth.
FEMININE - Crystals that are dense with Fairy Frost (sometimes milky in appearance) are described as Feminine (referring to energy, not gender). The concentration of density may vary from nearly opaque Fairy Frost to solid white, milky quartz. Feminine crystals help us (both men and women) to get in touch with our feminine nature. They have a soft, yet deep, mysterious energy. Yin in nature, Feminine crystals are intuitive, nurturing and receptive.
MIRROR FRACTURES - Mirror Fractures are shiny mirror-looking areas within the crystal, caused by damage (shocks (sudden temperature changes), traumas (hits, shaking, shearing Earth movement). Mirror Fractures serve as areas on which to reflect on our traumas and show that our traumas and challenges bring us added beauty and interest.
RAINBOWS - Rainbows are present inside a crystal due to fractures. It is helpful to have very bright light, and you may have to turn the crystal (side-to-side, upside down, etc.) in order to see them. Rainbow crystals are optimistic and happy. They remind us that we are loved and they remind us to look for the gifts our traumas bring us. I think Rainbows are like secret hugs from the Crystal People. It is thrilling and warming. TABBY or TABULAR - Tabular or Tabby crystals are thin, flat crystals. To ‘qualify’ as a Tabby, they should be no more than half as thin as they are wide (2 to 1 ratio). For example, if a crystal is one inch wide it needs to be one-half inch thick (or less) in order to be called a Tabby. If it is two inches wide it needs to be one inch thick (or less), etc. Tabby crystals are good helpers with communication. I remember this because they are shaped like a tablet.
BRIDGE - A Bridge is a smaller crystal (or crystals) penetrating and located partially in and partially out of a larger crystal. They help to bridge between worlds (the inner and outer worlds between your inner and outer Selves or between yourself and others) and are helpful in any area you might imagine needing a bridge. They can help you heal and get in touch with your inner child (bridging the gap between your outer self and your inner self) and are also good for connection and perspective. Just like a physical bridge, they can rise you above the muck (or a difficult crossing), while providing a birds-eye view of a situation. While providing connection, they also help provide boundaries.
WINDOW / TIME LINK - A Window or Time Link is a crystal with an extra diamond-shaped facet. By counting the facets or faces on the crystal, you will determine if you have more than six. If you do, you have a Window. This is a difficult crystal to read. It may take some practice to master this skill. Windows are one of the most commonly misidentified crystal configurations. Window crystals (Time Links) are good for scrying and accessing other realms, as well as for accessing our own soul (window to the soul). You may work with a window as an entry point (a way to get into an area). Window crystals also provide another point of access to an area that you might not have considered.
IMPRINT - Imprints are indentations or marks left on the sides or faces of a crystal where they grew in close proximity to another crystal. Crystals with Imprints represent how we are affected by outside influences (usually other people). The original structure adapts to its environment as outside influences (associations with people) change its shape or form. This allows for growth and change, while still maintaining the crystal’s basic inherent truth and beauty. An Imprint is a type of Key, so the characteristics of Key crystals applies as well (ease of access/opening).
