This crystal is Empathic (broken, chipped, damaged), missing about half of its body. Empathic crystals bring out compassionate feelings in us. The crystal picks up this empathy and amplifies it. Often the lesson of Empathic crystals is to remember to be compassionate and empathetic to our OWN chips, dings and perceived flaws and to remember we are still beautiful, whole, lovable and worthy. Most of these surfaces are in the beginning stages of Self-Healing, so happened during growth in the earth. There are sharp edges. This is a reminder to be gentle with your wounding that may still carry some sharpness. Self-Healed crystals are crystals that have been broken from the matrix and started to re-seal their broken end with new growth. A Self-Healed crystal looks like it has scales or triangular layers. They are good for healing, as one might imagine. They also have optimistic, persistent energy. A crystal that has first healed its own wounding demonstrates how we are more able to help heal others when we first heal our own wounds. We can take this lesson to heart in our own healing practice. It is Masculine (clear) with some Mirror Fractures. Very clear points are described as Masculine. They are helpful when you need to get to the point. The energy they have is sharp and direct. Yang in nature, Masculine crystals are action-oriented and the energy projects rather than recedes. Mirror Fractures are shiny mirror-looking areas within the crystal, caused by damage (shocks (sudden temperature changes) or traumas (hits, shaking, shearing Earth movement). Mirror Fractures serve as areas on which to reflect on our traumas and show that our traumas and challenges bring us added beauty and interest. There is a partial Bridge. (Bridges are good for connection and perspective) The main face is Lineated, unusual in that it presents as Lineated Sides normally do (tactile horizontal striations). I would probably work with this Lineation in the same way you do Lineated Sides (zipper to access further knowledge within the crystal. When you have worked with your crystal and feel ready for more information (desire to go deeper), unzip the crystal to receive the next layer of information. Drag your thumbnail down the side of a point to ‘unzip’ and to zip it back up, drag your thumb from the base back to the tip. Unzipping is like opening a box, looking down inside and seeing that the bottom of the box opens to infinite space. There is no end to the amount of ‘extra’ you can receive as you work with and unzip your crystal. Rezipping is like hanging up the phone. It lets the crystal know you are ‘done for now’ and you can pick up where you left off later. Remember after your session to thank the crystal for its help, and zip back up until next time.)
