Sheet Quartz Crystal

Physical description: A Sheet crystal is a very thin, flat piece of crystal, thinner than a Tabby and often self-healed. Usually, Sheet crystals don’t have six sides to them, and they aren’t always self-healed on all sides. Often, the widest sides are either lineated or self-healed. If there is an area that isn’t self-healed, it will be on the thin edge. If at least one of the flat sides is not either a side or self-healed, it doesn’t qualify as a Sheet crystal.

Metaphysical description: Sheet crystal is good for scrying and it has an expansive energy. They also often have a ringing bell-like sound when touched together.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SIZE:

THE IMAGE SHOWN IS AN EXAMPLE OF A SHEET CRYSTAL. YOU WILL RECEIVE A SIMILAR CRYSTAL, BUT NOT THE CRYSTAL PICTURED.

*The size of these crystals will vary. I will send the most representative example of the type of configuration ordered, so if a crystal is small, but an excellent example of the particular configuration, I will send that crystal. If it is particularly small, I may send two in one bag (say 1/2 inch or so)… I aim for a size range from 1 to 2 inches long, 1/2 to 3/4 inch diameter.

Your Sheet crystal will come with a business-card-sized printed description of the characteristics and special qualities of the crystal within. Crystal sizes may vary greatly in size as I am selecting for the shape, not the size.

I have packaged it with the description card to help you learn the identifying characteristics and uses of this special configuration.

This crystal is sent as a representative sample of a Sheet crystal. It isn’t necessarily sent for its size, and sometimes may be Empathic (chipped, dinged or damaged), if it is an excellent representation of this type (for example, it might present as a very good Manifestation point in an Empathic (chipped and/or damaged) chunk).

Thanks, and ENJOY!!

01618 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

This is a pair of Arkansas quartz crystal Sheet crystals. They have Lineated Sides, a few Barnacles and some Fairy Frost.

SHEET – A Sheet crystal is a very thin, flat piece of crystal, thinner than a Tabby and often self-healed. Sheet crystal is good for scrying and it has an expansive energy. They also often have a ringing bell-like sound when touched together.

LINEATED SIDES – Lineated Sides are horizontal striations across the sides of a point. Lineated Sides can be used like a zipper to access further knowledge within the crystal. If you have worked with your crystal for a while and feel ready for more information or feel a desire to go deeper, you can unzip the crystal to receive the next layer of information. I experience this as receiving a deeper knowing or understanding that seems to be released quietly after they are unzipped. If you drag your thumbnail down the side of a point with deep striations, you are “unzipping” the crystal. To zip it back up, drag your thumb from the base back to the tip. This is like hanging up the phone after a conversation. It lets the crystal know you are “done for now” and you can pick up where you left off later. I used to think that unzipping would be like opening a box and looking inside, revealing a few more items, and once you see them, that is all. It isn’t quite like this though. It is more like opening the box, looking down inside and seeing that the bottom of the box opens to infinite space. There is no end to the amount of “extra” you can receive as you work with and unzip your crystal. It is literally like peeling an onion that has infinite layers. Just remember when you finish with your session to thank the crystal for its help, and zip back up until next time.

FAIRY FROST – Fairy Frost crystals have fractures and inclusions of air within them. The trapped air is wispy, white and fairy-looking. Crystals with Fairy Frost are sometimes called Devic crystals. Devic Temple crystals have a combination of Mirror Fractures, Rainbows and Fairy Frost. Lots of crystals have Fairy Frost. Some are more fairy-like than others. Crystals with Fairy Frost are able to connect you with nature spirits and fairies (deva). They encourage us to connect with nature and to care for Mother Earth.

BARNACLES – Barnacles are smaller crystals that are attached to a larger crystal. Usually, these crystals emit a very Old Soul, ancient feeling. The larger crystal is the “Old Soul” and contains the wisdom and trust that attracts the smaller crystals (babies or new souls). I usually find that these Old Soul crystals with Barnacles are helpful to us in the way that a loving human grandmother/father or great grandmother/father would be (Imagine the Oracle from the Matrix movies). They help us to see things from a wider, deeper, wiser perspective. I think of the description of a crystal with Barnacles not so much as a description of the Barnacles themselves, but of the energy of the crystal that attracts or grows Barnacles.

This is an Empathic Sheet Arkansas quartz crystal. It has lots of Fairy Frost and Mirror Fractures. It has Lineated Sides.

MIRROR FRACTURES – Mirror Fractures are shiny mirror-looking areas within the crystal, caused by damage (shocks (sudden temperature changes), traumas (hits, shaking, shearing Earth movement). Mirror Fractures serve as areas on which to reflect on our traumas and show that our traumas and challenges bring us added beauty and interest.

EMPATHIC – Broken, chipped and otherwise damaged crystals are called Empathic. Empathic crystals bring out compassionate feelings in us. The crystal picks up this empathy and amplifies it. Often the lesson of Empathic crystals is to remember to be compassionate and empathetic to our OWN chips, dings and perceived flaws and to remember we are still beautiful, whole, lovable and worthy.
