Lineated Face Quartz Crystal

Physical description: Points may also be lineated on the faces. These surface markings are viewed in the same way you find Record Keepers. Lineation on a face starts as a small triangle that is outlined continually, oftentimes the pattern runs off the face of the crystal, sometimes it doesn\’t. To picture this, just imagine the lines in a Zen garden. The innermost triangle may or may not be centrally located.

Metaphysical description: Lineated Faces may be accessed during meditation in the same way that you might use a labyrinth. To work with them, follow the lines in and down to a meditative state and when you are finished, work your way back out from the center.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SIZE:

THE IMAGE SHOWN IS AN EXAMPLE OF A CRYSTAL WITH A LINEATED FACE. YOU WILL RECEIVE A SIMILAR CRYSTAL, BUT NOT THE CRYSTAL PICTURED.

*The size of these crystals will vary. I will send the most representative example of the type of configuration ordered, so if a crystal is small, but an excellent example of the particular configuration, I will send that crystal. If it is particularly small, I may send two in one bag (say 1/2 inch or so)… I aim for a size range from 1 to 2 inches long, 1/2 to 3/4 inch diameter.

Your crystal with Lineated Face will come with a business-card-sized printed description of the characteristics and special qualities of the crystal within. Crystal sizes may vary greatly in size as I am selecting for the shape, not the size.

I have packaged it with the description card to help you learn the identifying characteristics and uses of this special configuration.

This crystal is sent as a representative sample of a crystal with a Lineated Face. It isn’t necessarily sent for its size, and sometimes may be Empathic (chipped, dinged or damaged), if it is an excellent representation of this type (for example, a very good Manifestation point in an Empathic chunk, or an excellent Record Keeper on a partial point).

Lineated Sides Quartz Crystal

Physical description: Lineated Sides are horizontal striations across the sides of a point. Lineation on some points can be used like a zipper. Unzipping enables you to access information within the crystal. If you drag your thumbnail down the side of a point with deep striations, you are “unzipping” the crystal. To zip it back up, drag your thumb from the base to the tip.

Nearly all crystals are lineated to some degree on the sides (this is a good indicator of side versus face on crystals which it is difficult to tell), but some are more pronounced than others.

Metaphysical description: Deeply Lineated Sides may be unzipped to access further knowledge within the crystal. I experience this as receiving a deeper knowing or understanding that seems to be released quietly after they are unzipped.

02641_S2 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

This Arkansas quartz crystal point is Empathic with some contact dings, deep Keys, Etching, Sigils, Lineated Sides and Lineated Faces. It is full of Fairy Frost, Mirror Fractures and a few Rainbows.

EMPATHIC – Broken, chipped and otherwise damaged crystals are called Empathic. Empathic crystals bring out compassionate feelings in us. The crystal picks up this empathy and amplifies it. Often the lesson of Empathic crystals is to remember to be compassionate and empathetic to our OWN chips, dings and perceived flaws and to remember we are still beautiful, whole, lovable and worthy.

KEY – Keys are indentations left by another crystal. Key crystals help you unlock answers to questions you may have. They help you to access anything which you previously were blocked from accessing before you found the key. Is there an area which you could use help in accessing an answer which has previously been blocked to you? The energy of a Key crystal can help you to find an easier, more direct way in. Imagine this as easily opening the lock on the front door and walking right in (rather than having to check all the windows for one that is unlocked, climbing through, scraping your elbows and knocking your head). Ease of access is what Key crystal energy brings us. I like to put my finger in the Key as I work with the crystal. Meditate on the issue for which you need opening while holding the crystal in this way.

ETCHED – Etched crystals have abrasions on the outer areas of the crystal that look like hieroglyphics or writing of some sort. To me, Etched crystals (or the etching on crystals) is symbolic in that it looks like writing or takes other shapes. (For example, in the case of Lightning Strike, it looks like a lightning bolt zigzagging across.) I feel that the best way to use these crystals depends on the particular shape the etching takes (refer to SIGILS).

SIGILS – Sigils are any markings that represent an idea. For example, a dollar sign is a sigil that represents money and abundance. Crystals may have markings that resemble things such as snake skin, mountain ranges, water or even cities. Sigils are surface features; you view them the same way you view a Record Keeper. Because a Sigil is a marking that reminds us of an idea or invokes a memory or feeling, the meaning will depend on what the sigil represents to you. When you see Sigils and images, a good thing to do is let your mind’s eye wander through them and see if they take on a life of their own (like a video in your mind’s eye). This is a form of scrying and a way to receive the messages that the crystal is bringing to you through the Sigils.

LINEATED SIDES – Lineated Sides are horizontal striations across the sides of a point and can be used like a zipper to access further knowledge within the crystal. When you have worked with your crystal for a while and feel ready for more information (desire to go deeper), unzip the crystal to receive the next layer of information. Drag your thumbnail down the side of a point to ‘unzip’ the crystal and to zip it back up, drag your thumb from the base back to the tip. Rezipping is like hanging up the phone after a conversation. It lets the crystal know you are ‘done for now’ and you can pick up where you left off later. Unzipping is like opening a box, looking down inside and seeing that the bottom of the box opens to infinite space. There is no end to the amount of ‘extra’ you can receive as you work with and unzip your crystal. It is literally like peeling an onion with infinite layers. Remember after your session to thank the crystal for its help, and zip back up until next time.

LINEATED FACE – Lineated Face crystals are crystals with surface markings viewed in the same way you find Record Keepers. Lineated face crystals may have markings which start as a small triangle that is outlined continually, oftentimes the pattern runs off the face of the crystal, sometimes it doesn’t. To work with Lineated Face crystals, follow the lines in and down to a meditative state and when you are finished, work your way back out from the center.

FAIRY FROST – Fairy Frost crystals have fractures and inclusions of air within them. The trapped air is wispy, white and fairy-looking. Crystals with Fairy Frost are sometimes called Devic crystals. Devic Temple crystals have a combination of Mirror Fractures, Rainbows and Fairy Frost. Lots of crystals have Fairy Frost. Some are more fairy-like than others. Crystals with Fairy Frost are able to connect you with Nature Spirits and Fairies (Deva). They encourage us to connect with nature and to care for Mother Earth.

MIRROR FRACTURES – Mirror Fractures are shiny mirror-looking areas within the crystal, caused by damage (shocks (sudden temperature changes), traumas (hits, shaking, shearing Earth movement). Mirror Fractures serve as areas on which to reflect on our traumas and show that our traumas and challenges bring us added beauty and interest.

RAINBOWS – Rainbows are present inside a crystal due to fractures. It is helpful to have very bright light, and you may have to turn the crystal (side-to-side, upside down, etc.) in order to see them. Rainbow crystals are optimistic and happy. They remind us that we are loved and they remind us to look for the gifts our traumas bring us. I think Rainbows are like secret hugs from the Crystal People. It is thrilling and warming. Connect to the gift of love these crystals with Rainbows bring.

This Arkansas quartz crystal point is Empathic with some contact dings. It is an ET (Extra-Terrestrial or Extra-Termination), has Lineated Sides and Lineated Faces, Imprints and lots of Fairy Frost and Mirror Fractures.

Often the lesson of Empathic crystals is to remember to be compassionate and empathetic to our OWN chips, dings and perceived flaws and to remember we are still beautiful, whole, lovable and worthy.

ET, EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL or EXTRA-TERMINATION – Crystals with a single termination at the top and several terminations coming out of the base. Extra Terrestrial crystals remind me of a cartoon version of a rocket ship (a cigar-shaped ship with fire coming out the bottom). Extraterrestrial crystals have a powerful energy. You may use them to assist you in accessing beings from other realities (extraterrestrials) and Angels. I often also get a sense of flying through the universe when holding these crystals (travelling through a black starry expanse).

IMPRINT – Imprints are indentations or marks left on the sides or faces of a crystal where they grew in close proximity to another crystal. Crystals with Imprints represent how we are affected by outside influences (usually other people). The original structure adapts to its environment as outside influences (associations with people) change its shape or form. This allows for growth and change, while still maintaining the crystal’s basic inherent truth and beauty. An Imprint is a type of Key, so the characteristics of Key crystals applies as well.

This Arkansas quartz crystal point is Empathic with contact dings and areas of Self-Healing. It has Lineated Faces, traditional (sharp-angled triangle) and non-traditional (tear-drop and rounded triangle) shaped Record Keepers. Lots of Fairy Frost and Mirror Fractures.

SELF-HEALED – Self-Healed crystals are crystals that have been broken from the matrix and started to re-seal their broken end with new growth. A Self-Healed crystal looks like it has scales or triangular layers. Self-healing can be present on the bottom, sides or even tip of a point or cluster. Self-Healed points also present as crystals that were broken in half but sort of ‘glued’ back together with new growth. Self-healed crystals are good for healing, as one might imagine. They also have optimistic, persistent energy. A crystal that has first healed its own wounding demonstrates how we are more able to help heal others when we first heal our own wounds. We can take this lesson to heart in our own healing practice.

RECORD KEEPER – Record Keepers are crystals that have triangular markings on the faces. They seem to be three-dimensional, but they usually can’t be felt with your finger. You have to hold a crystal at just the right angle in order to see the Record Keeper. Usually they are very sharply edged, equilateral triangles; however, I have seen them with rounded bottoms as well (more arrowhead shaped), which I call non-traditional. There may only be one present on a face, or you may find layers and layers of them. Record Keepers will appear and disappear (I call that ‘popping’). A Record Keeper crystal will find its way to the person who needs the information it contains and they help you access special wisdom and information specific to you. In a way, they represent storage devices but the information is accessed via a portal. The portal is the Record Keeper marking.

FAIRY FROST – Fairy Frost crystals have fractures and inclusions of air within them. The trapped air is wispy, white and fairy-looking. Crystals with Fairy Frost are sometimes called Devic crystals. This Arkansas quartz crystal point is an incredible example of Self-Healing. This crystal broke in 3 places during its growth. It sealed back all the pieces and kept growing. The main crystal (top part) looks like it was starting to turn itself into an ET (Extra Terrestrial or Extra-Termination). The base where it broke from the matrix is completely Self-Healed. The fissures are still present. It is full of Fairy Frost, Mirror Fractures and some Rainbows. Lineated Faces and Lineated Sides. Awesome crystal!

02609_S2 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

This Arkansas quartz crystal point is Yin/Yang, has some small Inner Child points and a very deeply penetrating Bridge or Inner Child point (almost completely engulfed). It has lineated Faces and Lineated Sides, Record Keepers and Imprint/Keys. Nice!

YIN/YANG – Yin/Yang crystals are half feminine and half masculine (referring to energy, not gender). They present as half cloudy and half clear. The base of a Yin/Yang point may be completely milky or just very densely clouded with Fairy Frost (almost white) and the top part may be clear with a little wispy Fairy Frost. Knowing that Yin/Yang crystals have an equal measure of masculine to feminine energy, they are good for attaining and maintaining balance.

BRIDGE – A Bridge is a smaller crystal (or crystals) penetrating and located partially in and partially out of a larger crystal. Bridge Crystals help to bridge between worlds (the inner and outer worlds between your inner and outer Selves or between yourself and others). They are helpful in any area you might imagine needing a bridge. They can help you heal and get in touch with your inner child (bridging the gap between your outer self and your inner self). They are also good for connection and perspective. They bring you up out of the muck, and give you a birds-eye view of a situation. While providing connection, they also help provide boundaries. Also called Inner Child.

INNER CHILD (see also BRIDGE) – Inner Child (a type of Bridge) is a smaller crystal (or crystals) penetrating and located partially in and partially out of a larger crystal. Both names, Bridge and Inner Child, are used interchangeably. Inner Child crystals I see as much smaller and penetrating more ‘in’ than ‘out’ and they have a feeling to me of going ‘within’. Bridge or Inner Child crystals help to bridge between worlds. It may be the inner and outer worlds between your inner and outer Selves or between yourself and others in the physical environment in which you now live. Inner Child crystals can help you heal and get in touch with your inner child (bridging the gap between your outer self and your inner self).

To picture this, just imagine the lines in a Zen Garden. The innermost triangle may or may not be centrally located. Usually they are very sharply edged, equilateral triangles; however, I have seen them with rounded bottoms as well (more arrowhead shaped), which I call non-traditional. A Record Keeper crystal will find its way to the person who needs the information it contains and they help you access special wisdom and information specific to you. In a way, they represent storage devices but the information is accessed via a portal. The portal is the Record Keeper marking.

Meditate on the issue for which you need opening while holding the crystal in this way.

02591_S2 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

This Arkansas quartz crystal point is Yin/Yang with a base that is densely Feminine and a top that is super water clear. A little difficult to define, it is three crystals tightly merged and one traditionally defined Side-Kick – I would call them all Side-Kicks though that’s not really quite a perfect description (four total merged points). The termination of the main point is chipped, making it Empathic. There is lots of triangular Lineation on the faces, echoing the triangular angles on the point. Mirror Fractures inside remind me of Mountains. There are Imprints. I feel transported to somewhere similar to the Himalayas when looking at this crystal. Snowy crags and deep crevasses. I think this crystal would take a person on a massive journey, given the time and attention. I got these flashes just after minutes of holding it. You can go on an epic journey right from your home. No passports, no jetlag. I really like it!

SIDE-KICK – This is a name that I heard many years ago but never found in an actual book as a traditional description. However, the term fits so well, I have used it over the years but never used it as an actual name and definition (never included it in any lists). Visually, a Side-kick is a partial crystal almost melded with the main crystal. Less defined than a Dolphin, a Sidekick doesn\’t really have a whole shape on its own but relies on the main crystal to make up for most of its body. There is enough of a crystal there to warrant giving it a name. Like the traditional definition of a sidekick (think Batman and Robin), a crystal Sidekick carries these energies: always being there to support the main crystal energetically, adds a component of assistance to the main crystal, has a \’buddy energy\’ or an energy of always being there for the other. A symbiotic relationship in which the main crystal takes \”top billing\” but where the Sidekick still plays a major role in the energy of the crystal.

To picture this, just imagine the lines in a Zen Garden. The innermost triangle may or may not be centrally located. Lineated Face crystals may be accessed during meditation in the same way that you might use a labyrinth. To work with Lineated Face crystals, follow the lines in and down to a meditative state and when you are finished, work your way back out from the center.

MIRROR FRACTURES – Mirror Fractures are shiny mirror-looking areas within the crystal, caused by damage (shocks (sudden temperature changes) or traumas (hits, shaking, shearing Earth movement). Mirror Fractures serve as areas on which to reflect on our traumas and show that our traumas and challenges bring us added beauty and interest.

02574_S2 ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL POINT

This Arkansas quartz crystal point is Self-Healed on the base, has Fairy Frost and Mirror Fractures, Lineated Faces, Lineated Sides and a smooth, calming energy.

This Arkansas quartz crystal point is dense with Fairy Frost, has a small Inner Child/Bridge, Imprints/Keys around the base, Etching and Sigils, Lineated Faces and Lineated Sides. Feels good in a closed fist, has almost a ball shape

FAIRY FROST – Fairy Frost is found inside a crystal (not like “frost on a pumpkin”). Fairy Frost is fractures and inclusions of air within the crystal.
