Physical description: Extraterrestrial (also called ET or Extra-Termination) crystals have a single termination at the top and the base has several terminations. They remind me of a rocket ship. It is important to note the distinction between an ET crystal and a point with a cluster growing from the base. The extra terminations on ET crystals will not also have bodies attaching them to the main point whereas terminations on a cluster base would. They are also called extra termination crystals.

DEVIC TEMPLE – Crystals which have Fairy Frost, Mirror Fractures and Rainbows inside are called Devic Temples and are considered Master Crystals. Other sources have described them as \”having special places for Light Beings to reside\”. The description implies that only Devic Temple crystals have this ability, but in reality, all crystals do. Because all crystals have this ability/inclination, I like to put this reminder here. FAIRY FROST – Fairy Frost crystals have fractures and inclusions of air within them. The trapped air is wispy, white and fairy-looking. Crystals with Fairy Frost are sometimes called Devic crystals. Devic Temple crystals have a combination of Mirror Fractures, Rainbows and Fairy Frost. Lots of crystals have Fairy Frost. Some are more fairy-like than others. MIRROR FRACTURES – Mirror Fractures are shiny mirror-looking areas within the crystal, caused by damage (shocks (sudden temperature changes), traumas (hits, shaking, shearing Earth movement). RAINBOWS – Rainbows are present inside a crystal due to fractures. It is helpful to have very bright light, and you may have to turn the crystal (side-to-side, upside down, etc.) in order to see them. Rainbow crystals are optimistic and happy. They remind us that we are loved and they remind us to look for the gifts our traumas bring us. I think Rainbows are like secret hugs from the Crystal People. It is thrilling and warming. BARNACLES – Barnacles are smaller crystals that are attached to a larger crystal. Usually, these crystals emit a very Old Soul, ancient feeling. The larger crystal is the ‘Old Soul’ and contains the wisdom and trust that attracts the smaller crystals (babies or new souls). I usually find that these Old Soul crystals with Barnacles are helpful to us in the way that a loving human grandmother/father or great grandmother/father would be (Imagine the Oracle from the Matrix movies). They help us to see things from a wider, deeper, wiser perspective. I think of the description of a crystal with Barnacles not so much as a description of the Barnacles themselves, but of the energy of the crystal that attracts or grows Barnacles. LINEATED SIDES – Lineated Sides are horizontal striations across the sides of a point, to be used like a zipper to access further knowledge within the crystal. When you have worked with your crystal and feel ready for more information (desire to go deeper), unzip the crystal to receive the next layer of information. Drag your thumbnail down the side of a point to ‘unzip’ and to zip it back up, drag your thumb from the base back to the tip. Unzipping is like opening a box, looking down inside and seeing that the bottom of the box opens to infinite space. There is no end to the amount of ‘extra’ you can receive as you work with and unzip your crystal. Rezipping is like hanging up the phone. It lets the crystal know you are ‘done for now’ and you can pick up where you left off later. Remember after your session to thank the crystal for its help, and zip back up until next time. LINEATED FACE – Lineated Face crystals are crystals with surface markings viewed in the same way you find Record Keepers. Lineated face crystals may have markings which start as a small triangle that is outlined continually, oftentimes the pattern runs off the face of the crystal, sometimes it doesn’t. To picture this, just imagine the lines in a Zen Garden. The innermost triangle may or may not be centrally located. Lineated Face crystals may be accessed during meditation in the same way that you might use a labyrinth. To work with Lineated Face crystals, follow the lines in and down to a meditative state and when you are finished, work your way back out from the center. SIGILS – Sigils are any markings that represent an idea. For example, a dollar sign is a sigil that represents money and abundance. Crystals may have markings that resemble things such as snake skin, mountain ranges, water or even cities. There are some that look like stacked skyscrapers, and recently I found an online image of sea cliffs in Iceland that are very similar to these sky-scraper-looking Sigils (Reynisfjara beach : South Iceland). Sigils are surface features; you view them the same way you view a Record Keeper. Because a Sigil is a marking that reminds us of an idea or invokes a memory or feeling, the meaning will depend on what the sigil represents to you. When you see Sigils and images, a good thing to do is let your mind’s eye wander through them and see if they take on a life of their own (like a video in your mind’s eye). This is a copper stand with removable crystal. It would make a great center crystal for a grid. Or for healing, because it is removable from the stand, you can easily work with the crystal and return it to the stand when you are finished with that session. My dad created the idea for these awesome stands to display a large point I had gifted him. I loved it! He taught me how to make them myself (these are made by me). I probably won\’t be making any more of these, they are just some that I found when going through some boxes in my office after our move. I previously only offered them at shows. THE CRYSTAL: This is a lovely Tabby ET (Extra-Termination/Extra-Terrestrial) crystal with Barnacles, Lineated Sides and Fairy Frost. I don\’t come by such thin Tabbies often.

TABBY or TABULAR – Tabular or Tabby crystals are thin, flat crystals. To ‘qualify’ as a Tabby, they should be no more than half as thin as they are wide (2 to 1 ratio). For example, if a crystal is one inch wide it needs to be one-half inch thick (or less) in order to be called a Tabby. If it is two inches wide it needs to be one inch thick (or less), etc. Tabby crystals are good helpers with communication. I remember this because they are shaped like a tablet. It has some really interesting very shallow Imprints of geometric shapes (triangles and squares). Very shallow, on the faces, something I haven’t seen more than a few times over these past 25+ years of working with crystals. It has Record Keepers, Sigils definitely in the shallow impressions and Lineated Sides. I sense codes in this crystal in the geometric impressions (they aren’t exactly Imprints as such), there for whomever is meant to decipher them. Amazing crystal.

FEMININE – Feminine crystals are dense and milky. The concentration of density in a Feminine crystal varies from nearly opaque Fairy Frost to solid white, milky quartz. Sometimes a crystal with some clarity (which typically is described as Masculine) will still emit a feminine energy. Feminine crystals help us (both men and women) to get in touch with our feminine nature. They have a soft, yet deep, mysterious energy. Yin in nature, Feminine crystals are intuitive, nurturing and receptive. Typically, the term Feminine is referring to the physical characteristic of a crystal being dense or milky in color, and doesn’t always refer to the energetic qualities. RECORD KEEPER – Record Keepers are crystals that have triangular markings on the faces. They seem to be three-dimensional, but they usually can’t be felt with your finger. You have to hold a crystal at just the right angle in order to see the Record Keeper. Usually they are very sharply edged, equilateral triangles; however, I have seen them with rounded bottoms as well (more arrowhead shaped), which I call non-traditional. There may only be one present on a face, or you may find layers and layers of them. Record Keepers will appear and disappear (I call that ‘popping’). A Record Keeper crystal will find its way to the person who needs the information it contains and they help you access special wisdom and information specific to you. It has a deeply penetrating Bridge running through and nearly engulfed by the ET base. (It reminds me of a downed ship, partially buried in the crash-landing site). It is Empathic with contact dings, Barnacles and Drusy, Lineated Faces with Sigils, Lineated Sides, Fairy Frost and Mirror Fractures. I really like this crystal.

MY INTRODUCTION TO THE CRYSTAL PEOPLE

Grandparents who are rock hounds, well, rock!

I grew up in California and spent my formative years scrambling up hills, running wild in the mountains and combing the beaches.

We looked for square nails and purple bottles at old home sites, hematite and gold in the mountains, and agate on the beaches of the Pacific Northwest.

My grandparents were collectors and if I was lucky I got to tag along.

They used to gather Arkansas crystal and ship it back home to California. I remember growing up looking at crystal clusters sparkling and shining in the California sunshine.

Little did I know that I would become friends with these majestic beings!

How lucky am I? How lucky are you? I\’m going to teach you to connect, but, alas, I am getting ahead of myself.

Let me start from the very beginning of my journey.

Besides rocks and collecting, art has been my passion my entire life. I began my path as an adult majoring in the fields of Fine Art and Graphic Design.

After hearing so many people ask me what in the world I was going to do with a Degree in Art, and internalizing all of the negative reasons why this was a bad choice, I abandoned my dream and entered the field of Nursing.

My mother was a nurse, several aunts were nurses. It was the logical step, or so I thought, but logic and happiness don\’t always go hand in hand.
