Hmm. Lots going on here. This is an Etched and layered Arkansas quartz crystal point. It is basically a stack of Double Terminated Tabby points. One of them is an ET or Extra Terrestrial. It has black Inclusions, Rainbows and a deep Key.
ETCHED – Etched crystals have abrasions on the outer areas of the crystal that look like hieroglyphics or writing of some sort. To me, Etched crystals (or the etching on crystals) is symbolic in that it looks like writing. (For example, in the case of Lightning Strike, it looks like a lightning bolt zigzagging across.) I feel that the best way to use these crystals depends on the particular shape the etching takes (refer to Sigil crystals).
ET – Extraterrestrial (also called ET or Extra Termination) crystals have a single termination at the top and the base has several terminations. Extra Terrestrial crystals remind me of a rocket ship. Extraterrestrial crystals have a powerful energy. You may use them to assist you in accessing beings from other realities (extraterrestrials) and Angels.
DOUBLE TERMINATED – Double Terminated crystals have a termination on both ends. These crystals grow from a ‘seed’ molecule of silicon dioxide in clay and grow outward in both directions. They are not formed on a matrix. The energy in these crystals flows in both directions as well. Even though they have two terminations, oftentimes there is usually one end that feels like the ‘top’ and one that feels like the ‘bottom’. Double Terminated points promote psychic ability and dream recall (because they send as well as receive) and are also used for balance. They are useful in any application in which you want the energy to flow in both directions. I like using them in healing layouts or grids because the energy flows in both directions.
RAINBOWS – Rainbows are present inside a crystal due to fractures. It is helpful to have very bright light, and you may have to turn the crystal (side-to-side, upside down, etc.) in order to see them. Rainbow crystals are optimistic and happy. They remind us that we are loved and they remind us to look for the gifts our traumas bring us.
Sometimes Rainbows appear on the surface between two closely connected (fused) crystals. Metaphorically, this can represent how a relationship with a closely-attached-other can bring us Rainbows. Often the fusing of the two crystals produces a surface on which Rainbows like to ride. The relationship with the closely-attached-other creates a Rainbow to be explored and honored while the two are connected.
INCLUDED – Included crystals occur when crystal is forming, and there may be other substances present in the solution. These substances might be air bubbles or other minerals. They become trapped (or Included) within the crystal point during its growth and are called Inclusions or Included crystals. Air and moisture inclusions fall into the category of Fairy Frost, a non-mineral inclusion. The properties of Included crystals will vary, depending on the mineral included within the crystal. The properties of the included mineral will be enhanced and amplified by being trapped within the structure of quartz.
KEY – Keys are indentations left by another crystal. Key crystals help you unlock answers to questions you may have. They help you to access anything which you previously were blocked from accessing before you found the key. Is there an area which you could use help in accessing an answer which has previously been blocked to you? The energy of a Key crystal can help you to find an easier, more direct way in. Imagine this as easily opening the lock on the front door and walking right in (rather than having to check all the windows for one that is unlocked, climbing through, scraping your elbows and knocking your head). Ease of access is what Key crystal energy brings us. I like to put my finger in the Key as I work with the crystal. Meditate on the issue for which you need opening while holding the crystal in this way.
TABBY or TABULAR – Tabular or Tabby crystals are thin, flat crystals. To ‘qualify’ as a Tabby, they should be no more than half as thin as they are wide. For example, if a crystal is one inch wide it needs to be one-half inch thick (or less) in order to be called a Tabby. If it is two inches wide it needs to be one inch thick (or less), etc. Tabby crystals are good helpers with communication. I remember this because they are shaped like a tablet.
